Saildrone, a U.S.-based company founded by British engineer Richard Jenkins, operates a fleet of about 140 solar- and wind-powered ocean drones. These uncrewed vessels collect vast amounts of data for applications ranging from climate monitoring to maritime security. The company is expanding into Europe with a new facility in Denmark.
